At Diyafah International School LLC in Abu Dhabi, career guidance is a cornerstone of student development. As the Career Guidance Counsellor, I am dedicated to helping our students make informed decisions about their future. Our comprehensive career guidance program is designed to engage students in research-driven practices of current career trends, enable them to discover their true potential, equip them with skills to adapt to the changing world of work, build globally recognized profiles, prepare them for university life, and place them in their preferred universities and subject majors.

Starting from Year 9, our students participate in self-awareness activities to identify their strengths and passions, explore subjects and related careers, and select IGCSE subjects. As they progress to Year 10, they delve deeper into the scope of subjects and careers based on their interests and aptitudes. By Year 11, they are ready to select A-level subjects, shortlist career options, explore higher education globally, and prepare for international standardized tests. In Years 12 and 13, students finalize their subject majors, countries, and universities for higher education and apply to universities.

Our program supports university applications globally and provides a wealth of resources, including university fairs, webinars, internships, and alumni contacts. We take immense pride in our alumni's success in prestigious universities and diverse fields, which highlights the effectiveness of our career guidance program. I encourage parents and the community to support our efforts by participating in career-related events, encouraging students, providing networking opportunities, sharing resources, and helping find internships and job shadowing opportunities.
