The purpose of the policy is to establish a comprehensive framework to support the well-being of students and staff by outlining clear procedure and intervention strategies to address well-being concerns. It is also to promote a culture of well-being throughout the school community and ensure all stakeholders are aware of their roles and responsibilities in supporting well-being.
Integrating the well-being elements into the school’s framework, Diyafah International School aims to cultivate a holistic approach to well-being, ensuring the success and happiness of its community.

The responsibilities of the well-being committee are to oversee the implementation of the well-being policy, coordinate activities and monitor progress.

Staff Training and Development
During the beginning of school year induction there will be comprehensive well-being training for new staff members. There will be ongoing professional development in the form of regular training sessions to update staff on the latest well-being practices and strategies. Peer support encourages a supportive culture among staff members.

Awareness– Communicating to Stakeholders
Regular updates in weekly newsletters, e-mails and meeting to keep stakeholders informed. Parent coffee-sessions/information sessions will include well-being practice awareness.
School Well-being Survey
A school well-being survey will be conducted bi-annually with questions on physical, emotional and social well-being. The survey results will be used to inform policy and practice.
Annual Review of Strategy
There will be an annual review of the well-being policy and its impact with updated amendments if required based on feedback and changing needs. Any changes will be shared with the school stakeholders.
